Yesterday we did our first livestream on YouTube, where we critiqued submissions of the last Abandoned Space Station challenge. The recording of the livestream is now online.
In the video we give feedback to 10 submissions and there is also a QnA session at the end. Simply check the chapter marks.
We added 7 new lessons to chapter 8 "Machine Creation" (~1 hour of new content). This chapter is now complete.
In these new lessons you will learn how to rig a car from scratch. We will make the car follow a curve, make the wheels spin and steer automatically, make it stick to an uneven surface and add working suspension.

Next we will work on the character animation chapter. We aim for a release in December 2021 or January 2022. Stay tuned!
In our new YouTube video, Zach Reinhardt shows how to use brush textures (alphas) to sculpt fur in Blender.
He will go over how to import the brush textures, how to adjust the brush settings for best results and a timelapse as example on how to sculpt the fur.

We added 8 new lessons to the "Machine Creation" chapter (~1 hour of new content) of the Cubic Worlds course.
In this new lessons you will learn how to model a car in the Cubic Worlds style. As foundation, we will use a 3D scan of a real car and create a Grease Pencil sketch from it. This we then use as modeling reference.
