New Blender Course: Cubic Worlds

We are super excited to release the first part of our new Cubic Worlds course for Blender!

In a nutshell, this course teaches you how to build and animate stunning low poly 3D scenes, in the distinct "Cubic Worlds" style, from scratch.

With currently 80+ videos and a running time of 10+ hours for the 1st out of 3 parts, a huge amount of knowledge waiting to get absorbed from you. More content is coming soon.

New Lessons: Master 3D Environments in Blender

New Basics Section Added!

The Master 3D Environments in Blender course has been out for several months now in its Early Access stage. However, the final release is drawing near and so the last remaining lessons are being steadily added.

Based on the most frequent questions and feedback from the students, a whole new Basics section has been uploaded to chapter 3. There you will learn various tips and tricks that will introduce you to some of the fundamental workflows that keep repeating throughout the course. 

A total of 40 minutes of new material has been added to help especially the Blender-beginners among you to get up to speed!

New Lessons: Master 3D Sculpting in Blender

We added 6 new lessons to the new chapter 6 "Cute Creature Details", of the Master 3D Sculpting in Blender course update.

In the new lessons we will adjust the base geometry with shape keys, and start sculpting the details on the head of the cute creature.

New Arctic Chapter Added!

In chapter 4 we explored the A.N.T. landscape add-on and in chapters 5 & 6 we dived into the node-based workflows. Now, in the new chapter of the Master 3D Environments in Blender course, it's time to combine these approaches and add a new tool to your arsenal - sculpting!


Chapter 7 will teach you how to utilize A.N.T. to generate a base mesh, use texture-based sculpting to add details on it and finally, use the node-based shading methods to create a snow-ice material blend. On top of it, I will of course breakdown my final scene, its rendering and compositing. You will also learn how to make a neat translucent water volume!

All in all we added almost 1 hour of new content to the course.

New Chapter Finished: Master 3D Sculpting in Blender

We added 5 new lessons to chapter 5 "Cute Creature Retopology" of the Master 3D Sculpting in Blender course update, this chapter is now complete.

The new lessons will finish up the steb-by-step retopology process of the cute creature, and we will learn about some free and paid tools that help us to auto-retopologize a sculpting in a matter of seconds, with the downside of being less accurate.

The next chapter is planned to be released in May 2021. There we will finish up the cute creature sculpting, by adding high resolution details.

Rendering & Compositing Misty scene!

Rendering misty scenes can be a tricky business, but by using the few tricks and tips I provide in these new lessons of chapter 9, it shouldn't be a problem for you. Also, you will learn how to put your rendered layers together in Blender's Compositor, to achieve an even better result.

With that, chapter 9 focused on getting real-world landscape data using the GIS add-on is now complete. 😀

Chapters 6 and 10 are now officially finished, guiding you through the creation of a misty mountainscape and a night forest scenery, illuminated by an animated Aurora Borealis element.

We added the first 3 lessons to the new chapter 5 "Cute Creature Retopology", of the Master 3D Sculpting in Blender course update.

This new chapter will cover all important basics about retopology in Blender. First we prepare the retopology setup and tools, and then going through a steb-by-step retopology process of the cute creature.

After that, we will learn about some free and paid tools that can generate automatic but less accurate retopology mesh, to speed things up.

Two new lessons have landed in chapter 10 of the Master 3D Environments in Blender course! This time, you will learn how to create, shade and animate a cool Aurora Borealis element for your Blender scenes!

The best thing is, it is all just simple geometry and nodes in the Shader Editor. Anyone who's already gone through chapter 5 and 6 of the course will surely find the workflow familiar.
